His motivational lyrics and passionate stage show have earned him international recognition from devoted fans and industry insiders alike. This, combined with his commitment to addressing social ills and promoting positive values in his music, has enabled him to perform with a host of celebrated acts including Erykah Badu, Common, Kanye West, Dwele, Little Brother, Amel Larrieux, Talib Kweli, Amerie, Tortured Soul, De La Soul, Eric Roberson, Raheem DeVaugn, Kindred the Family Soul, KRS ONE, Doug E Fresh, Slick Rick, Dead Prez, Amiri Ben Ari, The Last Poets, Kindred, Twista, Rhymefest, Lupe Fiasco, Redman, Method Man, Snoop, Black Sheep, Jungle Brothers, and many more.

A refreshing blend of hip-hop with influences from soul, jazz, rock and R&B, SB’s music convincingly takes hip-hop to a new plateau.  He has successfully garnered airplay from core commercial radio stations such as New York’s 107.5 FM (WBLS), Chicago’s 107.5 FM (WGCI) and 92.3 FM (Power 92), FLOW 93.5 FM Toronto, as well as Urban Radio stations in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Richmond, Mexico, St.Louis, & Washington D.C. With a focus on producing quality music with substance, his songs have been featured on numerous college radio stations and mixtape compilations in the U.S. and abroad. A feature on the FREE Magazine mix CD was instrumental in extending his fanbase to include followers in London, and Johannesburg, South Africa. A Red Bull/Source Magazine Unsigned Hype winner selected to perform on the Source Magazine Unsigned Hype Midwest tour, SB, has also been featured as a musical guest on a nationwide broadcast of the WGN Morning show, a performer on the FOX and NBC evening news, and as a special guest on "The Greatness In You' show on ABC and the Live Well Network. 

 

An outspoken advocate of education, SB is a primary contributor to the book, “Balancing The Bias”, by author and Soul Poetry Café founder, Terrence Seaphus. Designed to teach literary and critical thinking skills, SB’s chapters deal with utilizing hip-hop’s universal appeal as a forum for achieving these goals. As the founder of the R.E.A.C.H. program (Revitalizing Education, Art & Culture through Hip-Hop), he presents these principles through interactive workshops at the grade school, high school and collegiate levels. Committed to uplifting the youth, SB, performs as both an entertainer and a motivational speaker at various grade schools, high schools, colleges and universities internationally.

His debut album, “Revolusean”, featured production from Kanye West mentor No ID (Common, Jay-Z, G-Unit, Toni Braxton), Hula, Dejion & K.Fingers “Azza” (Will Smith, Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott), Tye Hill (Felix da Housecat, Sean “P-Diddy Combs), Allbangaz, and the talented Soul People band. He is currently working on a several new project, a new EP entitled "ELEVASEAN",  a jazz/hiphop hybrid project entitled "It Takes A Village", the A.D.I.D.A.S. (All Day I Diligently Advocate Salvation) mixtape, the "Back To The Future" mixtape, and has contributed songs to movies (i.e. Amour Infinity by director Jerry Lamouthe), video game projects (i.e. Team Dragon for Andoid by on Snapdragon by Qualcomm w/ Vie Le and Chris Kooreman of Beat Royalty), televised series ("Milk & Honey" exec produced by Idris Elba), several music collaboration projects w/ various artists & producers, as well as voiceover work.

 

SB was also featured on the first single from Netherlands songstress Tasha's World's entitled Running from her album "Black Gold". The single Running hit #12 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart and #1 on the UK Soul charts.  SB was also featured on the song "Despair" from hiphop recording artist, Iomos Marad's, EP entitled, Liberation: The Voice EP, on "Heavenly Shine" from hiphop recording artist Vic Monroe's EP entitled, Old Cats, and is featured on the new single from gospel artist, Wayne Barrett, "Can't This Be About Love".  In 2021, SB released "Reppin' The GO", a collaboration with DJ/Producer, Genesis7, which was followed up with the single, "So In Love With You" on 2-11-22!  SB's latest release is the Autumn mix for "Reppin The Go" available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal for purchase, streaming, and download.
